GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
The purpose of this position is to support the Agency's needs by providing services of safety and security to all residents and staff at the shelter.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Education : High school diploma or Associate's degree in the human service field required
Minimum Years of Experience : one (1) year of experience in related experience required
Active Certification in good standing : in Non-violent Crisis Intervention, CPR and Community First Aid and Safety license is required
Knowledge of : mental health and substance abuse, have excellent written and oral communication skills and working with the homeless population.
Physical and TB Required : YES - prior to appointment.

Physical Ability : Tasks involve the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and / or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds).
Sensory Requirements : Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors. Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate depths. Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require oral communications ability.
Environmental Factors : Tasks are regularly performed with potential exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as strong odors, fumes, dusts, wetness, humidity, machinery, and toxic / poisonous agents.
