Description :

This position involves working in the surgical room for general surgery, with a focus on robotic and vascular surgery.

The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with a Magnet designation and serves as a Primary Stroke Center.

There are 938 total beds, including 22 dedicated to general surgery.

Patient types include breasts / plastics, vascular, laparoscopic, general oncology, genitourinary, gynecology, and robotic surgeries.

The position entails a patient ratio of 1 : 1.

The team will provide support through charge nurses, leads, and supervisors.

The charting system utilized is EPIC, along with Alaris and Pyxis systems.

Floating may occur within surgical services, including the urology center.

Scheduling will have variable start times for day shifts, ranging from 5 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 AM.

Weekends will be part of the rotation, with expectations to meet on-call requirements.

The on-call response time is set at 30 minutes, with slots available during various hours.

Holiday expectations may require working during holiday weeks, with options for agency staffing.

The role requires flexibility based on department needs and shifts.
