BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida is seeking a full-time Electrician to join our busy Engineering Department.

The Electrician is responsible for planning electrical layouts and installing, maintaining, and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, appliances, control equipment, and related systems.

Essential Duties :

̈       Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provides access for future maintenance, and avoids unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring.

̈       Remains consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.

̈       Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit.

̈       Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wired together, and applying tape or terminal caps.

̈       Connects wiring to lighting fixtures, appliances, and power equipment.

̈       Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.

̈       Inspects, trouble shoots, and maintains electrical services-including, but not limited to-circuit breakers, feeders, control wiring, and transformers.

̈       Repairs or replaces any electrical fixtures.

̈       Assists on projects such as HVAC and refrigeration equipment, pumps, lights, aerators, etc.

̈       Participates in the weekend “on-call” schedule and respond to calls in a timely and appropriate manner.

̈       Performs maintenance of lighting throughout the facilities.

̈       Provides general maintenance support as needed, particularly to cover staff absences during holidays, vacations, or other schedule gaps.

̈       Regular and reliable attendance.

̈       Performs other duties as required.

Education / Experience :

Industrial Electrical Engineering certification from a two year college or technical school and at least two years of related experience.

Physical Demands :

Frequently required to use hands, reaches with hands and arms.  Regularly stands, walks, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches and crawls. Occasionally sits.  Frequently lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.

Environment / Noise :

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power tools, adhesive fumes, caustic chemicals, electricity, and outside weather conditions.  Noise level is moderate to loud.

Certificates / Licenses :

Driver’s License may be required.  Industrial Electrical Engineering certification.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences

Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
