Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Adults Patient Volume / Census : Starting census 16 patients with up to 4 admissions daily; total census 18-20 patients Admissions : Yes Rounding : Included Phone Consults : No Case Mix : General Internal Medicine, Emergency Admissions EMR System : Epic Specialty Backup Available : Operational leadership team, office coordinators Support Staff Available : Operational leadership team, office coordinators Reason for Coverage : Supplemental Coverage Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : No (standard credentialing timeline applies) Credentialing Timeline : Minimum 30 days Rate : TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance is covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Patient assessments Admissions Daily rounding Order placement Discharge planning Care coordination EMR documentation Documentation of daily health status, changes, and medication reconciliation Licenses : Active Florida license Board : Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine DEA : Active DEA Certification Certifications : BLS, ACLS Experience : Must have active Internal Medicine / Hospitalist / Family Medicine practice for at least 24 inpatients in the past 12 months in an accredited hospital or healthcare facility Other Qualifications : Clean background, Proficiency with Epic EMR, Primary source case logs required from facility Perform ER patient assessments Manage admissions, daily rounding, and discharges Place orders and manage patient care coordination Complete EMR documentation for all care interventions and patient status Collaborate with operational leadership and office coordinators for schedule and patient management Adjust your work schedule to accommodate personal commitments, hobbies, or pursuits outside of medicine, promoting a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.
