Position Title : Maintenance Technician Level 2
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician Level 2 is responsible for performing maintenance for various Beck facilities including the Fremont and Attica buildings and the FriendShip store locations. He or she may also perform similar work for non - Beck entities. The general scope of work will include all maintenance functions that may be required for all business operations.
He or she plays a key role in enabling the Beck organization to operate efficiently by performing day to day facility maintenance and installation operations efficiently and smoothly.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots general maintenance issues and communicates with the Maintenance Supervisor on assigned maintenance projects so that he has a good understanding of the nature and priority of the project.
- Follows the daily project schedule developed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Performs the assigned tasks in an efficient and competent manner.
- Maintains communication with Supervisor and / or Maintenance Coordinator as frequently as necessary to deal with day-to-day issues that affect efficiency and utilization.
- Submits required field activity reports within the time schedule required by Beck procedures.
- Works with the Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Coordinator and Purchasing Manager to plan the amounts and delivery dates of parts and materials for the project, if necessary.
- Keeps any jobsite inventory in a neat and orderly manner.
- Completes accident reports completely and accurately, if necessary.
- Maintains friendly, cooperative relationships with other Beck personnel.
- Participates in safety programs as required by Beck procedures.
- Complies with company policies and procedures.
- Provides maintenance for a variety of work scopes including maintenance for fuel systems, building, millworks, store equipment, HVAC / R, plumbing, electrical, signage, site and any other general maintenance required for the organization to operate.
- Cross train and work with other sub-divisions of the Facilities division as required.
- Participates in the after-hours on call rotations.

Qualifications
2 years of varied general maintenance experience and specific experience in electronics, Verifone POS, Wayne or Gilbarco dispensers, Veeder Root Tank Gauges, HVAC / R, Electrical and plumbing.Processing work orders using custom software.Computer skills, including at least Outlook, Word, Excel.Willingness to “roll up his sleeves” and do what is necessary to get the job done.Honesty, integrity, and a strong desire to succeed.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Ability to deal tactfully in human issues with colleagues.Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.Willingness to participate in the after-hours call rotations.Physical Demands and Environmental Condition Requirements
Occasional :
Use of hand and foot controls, balancing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, exposure to atmospheric conditions, moving mechanical parts, electrical shock, high exposed place, and explosion hazards.
Frequent :
Standing, walking, driving, lifting, and carrying up to 90 lbs., climbing, forward bending, reaching, use of hands and fingers, exposure to weather, noise, and vibrations.
