Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Oncology Discipline : RN Duration : Ongoing 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours Employment Type : Staff Overview St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking an experienced RN to join our Inpatient Oncology Medical / Surgical team ! Unit / Position Summary Boise Oncology med / surg is a 24 (4 post op) bed Surgical unit where you will gain experience caring for patients along every phase of the cancer continuum, from diagnosis and treatment to palliative / symptom management and comfort care. You will care for post-surgical patients, patients receiving chemotherapy and some medical-surgical overflow. Those interested in an ICU-type experience will be able to care for patients who are critically ill and need close monitoring / intervention. Typical RN to patient ratios on this unit are 1 : 4. For CNAs, the ratios are typically 1 : 7-10.
