HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a local contract nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Specialty : ED - Emergency Department
  • Discipline : RN
  • Duration : 13 weeks
  • 36 hours per week
  • Shift : 12 hours, nights
  • Employment Type : Local Contract
  • Number of Beds – 20 headwall, 4 halls
  • Number of Staff – 50
  • Shift for the Traveler – Varies (7a, 9a, 11a, 12n, 13p, 15p, 7p)
  • Type of staff : Charge RN, Flow Coordinator, RN, ED Tech, US

Day Shift – ( 1 charge, 4 RN, 1 tech, and 1 us)

  • Mid Shift- Varies- (9a RN, 11a RN, 11a Tech, 11a Flow Coordinator, 12n RN, 13p RN, 15p RN)
  • Night Shift – ( 1 charge, 4 RN, 1 tech, and 1 us)
  • Patient Ratios – 4 : 1 (unless low acuity ESI 4 & 5’s then 6 : 1)
  • Type of equipment – Lucas, Level 1, Alaris IV pumps, I stat, EPOC, GE monitors
  • EMR - EPIC
  • Typical Procedures : Splinting and breathing treatments

    • Must Haves :

  • An ASN degree minimum, BSN preferred
  • A recent 12 months of ER RN experience in an acute hospital setting
  • AK RN License
  • ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIH, PALS, and TNCC Certifications

    • Preferred or Nice to Have :

  • Trauma and / or pediatrics experience
  • Stroke and STEMI experience
  • Epic Experience
  • Travel Experience
