Responsibilities Position is in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) in a hospital setting Day shift, 12-hour shifts Thirteen-week assignment No on-call responsibilities No floating or cross-unit coverage noted Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular ICU patients, including procedures related to cardiac and vascular cases Holiday time off requests are limited; if RTO does not fall near a holiday, a maximum of 5 days is allowed, and if near a holiday, a maximum of 3 days is allowed Only one holiday time off request permitted during the contract First time travelers considered if all requirements are met Must be prepared to answer questions regarding experience with cannulations, aorta cases, and endovascular procedures Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license in hand Minimum 18 months of recent full-time CVICU experience required Strong experience with cardiac and vascular procedures Recent endovascular procedure experience preferred Must not be a local candidate within 50 miles of the facility If a former permanent staff member of Emory or Houston, must be separated for at least 1 year, or 18 months if returning to the same facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-623088.
