Job Description Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead the technical execution of both routine and complex projects from concept through completion. This role involves planning, scheduling, and managing engineering tasks, supervising analysis processes, and conducting project reviews. You will provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and serve as an Authorized Project Reviewer. Additionally, you will contribute to business development, ensure compliance with safety standards, and champion continuous quality improvement across all projects. Key Responsibilities Provide technical guidance for the successful execution of routine and complex projects. Develop conceptual designs and investigative strategies for major project phases or assume full responsibility for moderately scoped projects. Plan, schedule, and manage engineering tasks, resolving conflicting design elements as needed. Conduct project reviews, particularly for projects involving advanced investigation techniques. Oversee analysis processes, contribute to client reports, and provide technical assessments. Lead technical training sessions and make informed decisions on emerging technologies. Support marketing, sales, and business development initiatives. Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff. Serve as an Authorized Project Reviewer. Identify and manage project-related risks, ensuring adherence to company risk policies. Promote and enforce safety standards, leading team safety initiatives. Drive continuous quality monitoring and improvement across all projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus preferred. Minimum of 8 years of post-PE / responsible charge experience with geotechnical consulting firms. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Kentucky or ability to obtain within 6 months. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
