Job Description :

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures, the Registered Nurse (RN) assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during their shift. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria and evidence-based practice. Clinical judgments are made using sound scientific knowledge and critical thinking skills.

In addition, the RN assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Unit Secretaries. The RN must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes to meet patient and unit needs.
