Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled immigration attorney to oversee our removal defense team. This role involves supervising staff attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants, while also managing the Firm's removal defense team and ensuring high-quality representation and client service.
Requirements :
Member, in good standing, of a bar in any U.S. jurisdiction or territory
Minimum five years of legal practice experience and expertise in immigration law
Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Experience with supervising staff
Ability to work effectively with a large caseload and function professionally within a fast paced environment
Exceptional oral advocacy skills
Ability and willingness to travel and work extended hours
Responsibilities :
Lead the removal defense team to ensure compliance with all deadlines and that clients are being adequately represented
Manage and maintain own caseload of complex cases for ongoing legal development, including, but not limited to, providing direct representation to clients before the Immigration Court and USCIS.
Analyze complex immigration cases, develop effective legal strategies, and implement best practices in representation and client service (and in certain situations, co-counseling with staff attorneys)
Cover emergencies / complex matters wherever necessary and whenever directed to by managing attorney
Facilitate legal staff meetings when the managing attorney is not available
Foster continuous learning among team members, stay up-to-date on immigration law developments, and promote a culture of excellence within the firm.
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
