Role Description

POSITION SUMMARY

This person is the primary representative for all Zoetis Poultry products for broiler and broiler breeder accounts in the / / Kentucky / Tennessee / Indiana / Ohio / Pennsylvania region of the US. The position is responsible for achieving annual gross revenue and margin targets within budgeted expense parameters. This position is focused on and responsible for the management of new business growth and customer retention in assigned accounts within the region. The ideal location for this position is Mayfield, Kentucky, but other areas in the regions listed above may be considered.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Promotes and supports the sales of Zoetis products and services, including Biologicals and Inovoject device systems.

Manages corporate and complex-level communication with customers regarding Zoetis poultry products and services.

Develops account plans for assigned accounts and works as a team member on account plans led by teammates.

Coordinates all Zoetis activities within assigned accounts.

Maintains working knowledge of customer locations to maximize business opportunities.

Initiates and maintains regular communication regarding customer requirements with internal Zoetis groups, including Customer Service, Veterinary Services, Marketing, and product support teams.

Continues to build and develop an industry network to improve understanding of customer strategy and gain early awareness and involvement when applicable.

Prepares reports to keep management and team members informed of industry news, customer news, sales objectives, accomplishments, and competitive information.

Builds customer loyalty to Zoetis poultry products and services by developing relationships with key account decision-makers and influencers.

Provides feedback to assist in the development of marketing plans.

Utilizes the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to manage accounts, contacts, and business.

Stays abreast of changes and future needs of assigned accounts and provides forecasts on a monthly basis

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A four-year degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, or Agribusiness is preferred.

Five or more years in the poultry industry with working knowledge of live production is preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Highly developed interpersonal skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks.

PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project software).

Excellent attention to detail.

Promotes teamwork and cooperation.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel overnight up to 50% of the time, including quarterly travel to the West Coast.

The employee's usual location is in the field. Must be able to travel overnight 50% of the time and possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must have the ability to work in animal environments typical to the poultry industry.
