SUMMARY
Kadon is experiencing significant growth within its manufacturing operations. Kadon is seeking an individual to join its Rockford, IL based team to be the primary point of contact to manage production planning, capacity analysis, and supplier inventory programs
This role is critical in ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled on time, within budget, and to exacting quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in precision manufacturing environments and a strong grasp of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and machine capacity.
- Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, and shop floor teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials, tooling, and fixtures.
- Monitor job progress and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in priorities, machine downtime, or material delays.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and other quality standards through proper documentation and traceability.
- Collaborate with quality control to manage rework and ensure corrective actions are scheduled efficiently.
- Maintain ERP / MRP systems with accurate job routing, lead times, and work center capacities.
- Communicate proactively with sales and customer service teams regarding delivery timelines and order status.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and schedule production based on customer demand, inventory levels, and resource availability.Coordinate workflow across departments to ensure smooth operations and minimal delays.Monitor material and equipment availability, ensuring readiness for production.Work with Operational Leaders to schedule shifts to meet production targets.Track production progress, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or disruptions.Report performance metrics and production status to management.Optimize productivity and reduce costs through continuous process improvements.Use forecasting tools and market analysis to anticipate production needs.PHYSICAL DEMANDS : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods of time, visit customer facilities, including out-of-state and potential international travel, and travel between departments and divisions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT : While performing the duties of this job, the employee will periodically have to travel through manufacturing departments. The atmosphere is a climatic office setting, and the employee will spend most of the time in transit. The employee is required to travel, including internationally.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.3+ years of production planning experience in a precision machining or CNC environment requiredStrong understanding of machining processes (turning, milling, grinding, EDM, etc.).Proficiency in ERP / MRP systems (e.g., Visual Esti Track (VET), Job BOSS, Epicor)Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.Must be a U.S. citizen or be able to comply with U.S. export regulations.Company Description
