About The Position

Must-Have :

Experience in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Robotics, and Trauma

Description :

Start times may vary between 7 AM and 9 AM.

Candidates should have experience in outpatient and community hospital settings.

Experience with orthopedic, neuro, and vascular cases is required.

Weekend availability is required, three weekends per schedule.

Candidates will be on-call one weeknight per week and every second or third Saturday or Sunday.

National certifications are not required but BLS certification is mandatory.

Travelers may be expected to float between facilities.

Hard stop requirements include experience in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Robotics, and Trauma.

Candidates must be willing to cover shifts as needed.

Two supervisory references are required from previous employment within comparable specialties.

Expectations include willingness to work holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.

Candidates must possess skills in various surgical procedures, including but not limited to abdominal aortic aneurysm repairs, appendectomies, and total joint replacements.

The work environment includes engaging with diverse patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Daily census in the operating room averages around 25 cases with eight operating rooms available.

Candidates will need to maintain sterilization and disinfection protocols.

Specific charting experience in the electronic medical record system is necessary.

The role requires strong teamwork and communication skills within the surgical team.
