Property Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join our client's team on a contract basis in Wilsonville, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of tenant ledgers and handling financial tasks related to residential and commercial properties. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your expertise in property accounting and Yardi software to support a thriving portfolio.

Responsibilities :

Review and adjust tenant ledgers to ensure accurate financial records.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies where concessions have been applied as payments.

Perform detailed line-by-line analysis of system entries and correct errors.

Utilize Yardi software to make ledger corrections and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Conduct thorough reviews of security deposits and reconcile accounts accordingly.

Process month-end close activities, including accrual accounting and general ledger adjustments.

Collaborate with property management teams to address accounting-related inquiries.

Ensure all financial data aligns with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Support audits and provide detailed documentation when requested.

Requirements :

Proven experience in property accounting, preferably managing both residential and commercial portfolios.

Proficiency in using Yardi software for accounting tasks and ledger corrections.

Strong understanding of month-end close processes and accrual accounting.

Solid knowledge of general ledger management and account reconciliation.

Attention to detail and ability to perform meticulous reviews of financial records.

Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve tenant ledger discrepancies.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with property management teams.
