Description : The Clienttion Therapist plans and applies ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with the prescription and instructions from the radiation oncologist or radiation physicist. They provide specific care to patients during treatment and educate patients regarding procedures and how to manage radiation reactions. In accordance with the prescription and instructions of a radiation oncologist, they produce an external beam treatment plan for each patient, including alternatives if necessary, either by using a treatment planning computer. Clienttion Therapists must observe radiation safety measures for patients, personnel, and visitors. The Therapist delivers treatment and promptly and accurately documents the treatment and any notes into the electronic medical record. Work hours may fluctuate between 8 to 9 hours Monday to Thursday, condensed down to 4 to 5 hours on Fridays. Travel experience is not required. Clienttion safety measures must be observed for patients, personnel, and visitors. Skills Required : Adult Acute Care, Custom Molds, Custom Shield, Tumor Localization, Block Cutting, B-Mode Acquisition Targeting, CBCT / kV / mV Imaging, Compensation Filters, Portal Cast, Wedges, Calculate Dose of Clienttion, Pinnacle (Philips), Eclipse (Varian), External Beam Therapy, Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy, Lift / Transfer Devices, Isolation Precautions, and Use of Rapid Response / Code Teams. Preferred experience with Elekta Infinity Accelerator and MOSAIQ record and verify system. The traveler must live at least 100 miles from the facility.
