Senior Accountant

Our client is an organization in Fox Valley area looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 4+ years of accounting experience, high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following :

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform detailed account analysis and provide insights on trends or discrepancies.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by supplying key financial data and insights.
• Assist with external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze fluctuations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, FP&A, and leadership to support financial projects and business decisions.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting procedures and enhance efficiency.
• Support tax reporting requirements and regulatory filings as needed.
• Ad hoc projects as needed.

The Senior Accountant will possess the following :

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
