Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Klamath Falls, OR 97601 (Oregon nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Medical Surgical Unit

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nurse contract

Start Date : November 19, 2025

End Date : February 18, 2026

Shift : 12-hour days (5 : 45am – 6 : 15pm), every other weekend required

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Holiday Requirement : Yes

On-Site Position

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880 - $2020

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

Minimum 2.5 years of recent nursing experience in a Med / Surg or acute care setting

Current ACLS and BLS certifications required

EPIC EMR experience required

General surgery experience required; total joint experience preferred

Ability to titrate insulin drips

Professional appearance (no specific scrub color required)

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population, including post-surgical, general medical, and specialty cases (total joints, CVA, CHF, COVID, end-of-life care)

Monitor and titrate insulin drips as needed

Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation and patient management

Interpret and verify cardiac monitor strips in collaboration with Monitor Techs

Work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge nurses, nurse aides, and respiratory therapists

Participate in unit orientation and ongoing clinical education

Maintain a compassionate, patient-focused approach in all aspects of care
