Base pay range
$38,250.00 / yr - $39,500.00 / yr
Alaska Environment is hiring a Campaign Associate to work with Alaska Environment's director and the national program team as well as organizers, stakeholders and coalition allies to build momentum and expand support for campaigns that advance a sustainable future for Alaska.
Key Responsibilities
Reach out to and engage organizations, businesses and affected constituency groups across the state with common ground on relevant issues to demonstrate support for campaign goals.
Attend events to educate Alaskans on issues, recruit them to take action, and build broad support for campaigns.
Organize news conferences and write opinion pieces. Build a following on social media for campaigns.
Meet with decision makers from local officials to state legislators to advocate for campaign goals and help demonstrate support to win votes.
Catalog and analyze data relevant to issues and policy proposals to influence public debate and earn media attention.
Help build the team by recruiting volunteers, interns and full-time staff.
Run a campaign office to raise funds, build the organization and momentum, and develop grassroots support; may be assigned to a different location (including out of state) and relocation may be needed for the summer.

Compensation and Benefits
The target annual compensation is $38,250-$39,500, depending on start date.
