• Candidate will be responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of rotating equipment within the facility.
• Performs maintenance on pumps (centrifugal and positive displacement), steam turbines, compressors (centrifugal and positive displacement), gearboxes (parallel shaft and right angle drive), hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, process loading arms, fans and blowers and drive systems associated with the equipment.
• Experienced with the layout and fabrication, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping / plumbing systems, fixtures and equipment for steam, water, heating, cooling, lubricating and related systems.
• Ensures that all personnel and equipment are working in a safe manner by following guidelines and procedures.
• Demonstrates ability to interpret mechanical drawings, equipment data books and maintenance manuals.
• Properly operates equipment being repaired in order to test, measure and monitor the rotating equipment.
• Proficient in the use of micrometers, dial indicators, laser alignment and various tools used to install and measure the equipment.
• Familiar with the basic shop tools such as drill presses, bench grinders, hydraulic presses and hand tools used to work on equipment.
