Senior SDK QA Testing (Virtual Reality / Embedded Systems)

Overview

Q Analysts is looking for a Senior SDK QA Testing to support one of our clients, a global leader in the Virtual Reality (VR) space. The clients team develops advanced systems that combine software, computer vision, and robotics to enable accurate quality evaluation and regression testing of tracking systems and algorithms. This role focuses on SDK and embedded system testing , particularly on Android-based devices , with hands-on involvement in both manual and automated testing for current and future VR products. As a Team Lead, you will guide a team of QA engineers, ensure test accuracy, and contribute to the continuous improvement of SDK quality and performance.

Location : Santa Clara, CA (Onsite 5 days a week)

Employment Type : Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Lead the QA project in testing SDKs, applications, and embedded systems for VR and mobile platforms.
  • Execute regression, functional, and SDK-level testing across Android, PC, and web environments.
  • Review and edit existing test cases for accuracy and coverage.
  • Recreate and validate bugs reported by other team members.
  • Perform bug investigation, documentation, and verification after fixes.
  • Collaborate with developers to review documentation and ensure SDK reliability.
  • Analyze requirements, create test plans, and manage automated and manual testing cycles.
  • Utilize Android ADB tools and system-level APIs for debugging and validation.
  • Support multiple projects in an agile environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Mentor QA engineers and provide technical guidance on test methodologies and best practices.

Must-Have Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of QA Testing experience , including SDK or embedded systems testing .
  • Strong hands-on experience with Android APKs and Android ADB tools .
  • Knowledge of testing SDKs and applications on embedded or Android systems .
  • Experience with operating system-level APIs and debugging tools.
  • Familiarity with source control systems (Git, Subversion, or Perforce).
  • Strong command-line skills and ability to work with automation frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with bug-tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Mantis.
  • Strong communication skillsclear, concise, and proactive.

    • Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with VR / AR testing , computer vision , or 3D graphics .
  • Exposure to mobile app development or SDK documentation review .
  • Familiarity with Unity , Unreal Engine , or similar game engines.
  • Understanding of render pipelines , camera control , and lighting systems .
  • Experience designing or testing networked multiplayer systems .
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and Shell scripting .
  • Background in custom tool development for app or game testing.
