Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a cardiac cath lab role requiring 1-2 years of experience and current ACLS / BLS certifications.
Responsibilities
Position is based in a short term acute care, Magnet, Level III trauma teaching hospitalWork in the interventional cardiac cath lab with adult patient populationPerform procedures including cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement / removal, PCI, PTCA, pulmonary artery line insertion, temporary pacemaker, and left / right heart catheterizationsResponsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, scrub procedures, accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, prepping access sites, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulation, and maintaining sterile fieldRole utilizes vascular closure systemsUses Excellian / Epic EMR—experience requiredDay shift (4x10s) from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM, four days per weekOn-call rotation is required approximately one day per week and every 4th to 5th weekend, including occasional SundaysCandidate may float within hospital or to affiliated hospitals as neededScrubs are provided by the unitPerforms advanced cardiac and interventional procedures in a busy acute care settingIntegrates with a multidisciplinary care team in a high-acuity hospital environmentPre-start modules are required and will be compensated separatelyCandidates must complete fingerprinting as required by Minnesota state policy before startOpen to first-time travelers with appropriate experienceTime off should ideally not exceed 5 daysLocals are accepted for this radiology positionReturn staff must have a minimum 3-month break from last perm shift before reapplyingRequirements
