The Supervisor, Occupational Therapy is responsible for direct supervision of staff therapists, therapist assistants, and support personnel. As a member of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, this position is responsible for occupational therapy evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, documentation, and patient / family education. Other responsibilities include orientation and on the job training of staff; development, monitoring and modification of programs; and other professional and administrative duties as assigned. The incumbent also participates in department / facility initiatives as assigned. Additionally, Occupational Therapists are responsible for practicing with integrity and autonomy in accordance with practice act / standards, code of ethics and regulatory bodies and are responsible for identifying and effectively addressing situations outside of these guidelines.
