American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Level 1 trauma center operating room position requiring AZ or compact licensure and expertise in a variety of surgical specialties.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital-based Operating Room within a Level 1 trauma, teaching facilityShift schedule is three 12-hour day shifts (7 : 00 am – 7 : 00 pm), Fri-Sun weekend blockCare for patients on a 1 : 1 ratioHigh volume ortho, trauma, spine, and neuro (including craniotomies) cases with minimal pediatricsLimited on-call requirement : eight weeknight call shifts in an eight-week periodBlocked scheduling for weekendsNo floating requiredCerner EMR is used in this unitScrubs are provided for OR RNsPosition involves working with multiple surgical specialties in a busy operating room environmentFirst-time travelers are accepted for this roleMust adhere to hospital quality and patient safety standards, including medication administration protocolsFree onsite parking availableReturn travelers must not have canceled a contract within 10 days of a previous scheduled start and cannot return as a traveler within 12 months of employment with this health system unless approvedRTO during the first week is not permitted due to orientation; more than five days off or holiday RTO requires unit manager approvalHoliday coverage requires working at least two out of three major holidays during the assignment\n \n Requirements\n
Active, unrestricted AZ or compact RN license requiredCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications requiredMinimum two years of recent OR RN experience requiredExperience required in general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neuro surgeries including craniotomiesLevel I trauma experience required; will consider candidates with recent Level II trauma experience in a similar or larger facilityMust provide two professional references, one from a recent employer within the last yearCerner experience required\n Benefits\n
