The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative supports patient care by performing high-quality specimen collection and maintaining a professional, patient-centered environment. This role represents the face of the organization , ensuring each patient interaction is handled with accuracy, compassion, and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under supervisor direction.Maintain a safe and professional environment for patients and coworkers.Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.Verify patient demographic information and signatures post-venipuncture to ensure proper labeling.Maintain required records and documentation with accuracy.Promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.Travel as needed to cover multiple locations with minimal notice.Train at various locations depending on trainer availability.Required Experience
1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.Two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.Customer service background in retail or service environments is highly preferred.Keyboard / data entry experience required.Nice-to-Have Experience
Medical assistant or paramedic training.Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required only in CA, NV, WA).Experience working independently with minimal supervision.Required Skills
Strong pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy skillsAbility to provide error-free work in fast-paced environmentsDecision-making based on established proceduresPreferred Skills
Superior customer focus and communicationAbility to handle multiple prioritiesFlexibility for weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call needsReliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if applicable)Additional Skills
