We are a smaller firm looking to grow and we're in need of a Project Manager who can work well remotely and travel to project sites every other week (25-50% travel overall). This person should have previous experience running a commercial project, ground up, from start to finish. A huge plus if you have experience with health / fitness clubs.

Are you a Project Manager with a strong background in the commercial construction industry? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to join our team and oversee construction projects for a repeat fitness / health club client of ours. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Responsibilities :
1. Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Reviewing and approving project plans and specifications, ensuring they meet our standards and objectives.
3. Managing and supervising construction teams, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.
4. Conducting regular project meetings and providing updates to stakeholders on the progress, risks, and issues.
5. Ensuring all construction activities comply with health and safety regulations.
6. Managing project budgets, including tracking expenses and minimizing cost overruns.
7. Handling any issues or delays that arise, implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track.
8. Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Qualifications :
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on health clubs or similar commercial work.
2. Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time (mainly Midwest travel to start)
3. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly and effectively resolve issues and delays.
7. Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
8. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
9. Proficiency in project management software and other relevant IT tools.
10. A commitment to health and safety, with knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
