Position Description
The IT Specialist reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of information technology (IT) for the Budrovich Companies. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Primary IT Responsibilities :
Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support and advice. Investigate and resolve user hardware, software, connectivity, printing, program, and / or other issues.
Effectively manage the ADS third-party (outsourced) service relationship.
o Address as many IT requests / tasks internally as possible.
o Coordinate user requests / issues with ADS to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
o Collaborate to identify IT needs and make recommendations to business decision makers.
o Evaluate the companys adherence to federal technology requirements for security.
o Collaborate to mitigate cybersecurity risk.
o Thoroughly review, challenge, and approve all ADS invoices, obtaining support where necessary.
Maintain an updated inventory of all computers, devices, and peripherals.
Review all hardware and software requests prior to purchase and communicate / address any issues or opportunities from a security, capacity, etc. perspective.
Implement technology updates and educate employees on new programs and features.
Set up workstations for employees and address technical onboarding for new hires.
Manage the cybersecurity program, including coordination with Budrovichs third-party service provider (KnowBe4).
o Address regular cybersecurity training.
o Implement simulating phishing tests.
o Administer the PhishER / Phish Alert Button (PAB) process, including email evaluation and blocking.
o Research and promptly address known threats and / or potential cybersecurity events.
Address all IT security considerations, ensuring appropriate user access and that files with sensitive information are appropriately restricted.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all business applications (Vista, B2W, SelectView, etc.).
o Address necessary system / program updates and / or modifications.
o Communicate and work effectively with users and software vendor support personnel, as necessary.
o Partner with the business as the IT application support resource on process / system improvement projects.
Provide technical support for the company mobility program.
Partner with Sales / Marketing as the IT technical resource for the company webpage, including interaction with the third-party service provider (Timmermann Group, LLC).
Enhance IT general, application, and cybersecurity knowledge / expertise through continuing education.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
General :
This is an in-office position.
BS degree (IT-related field preferred), masters degree a plus
Strong technical IT knowledge and experience.
Stays current with technological innovations and trends.
Ability to effectively plan and organize, work on an independent basis with attention to detail and timeliness and ability and to quickly identify and resolve problems.
Ability to effectively present information and research and respond to inquiries from users, management, and third parties.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Consistently exhibit professional demeanor with internal and external parties through written and verbal communications.
Adhere to Company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, Budrovich safety program, policies and practices and the company work schedule.
Ability to contribute to and help foster an effective, productive, and collegial team environment.
