Part-Time Surgical Center Nurse Manager

RMA of Southern California, part of the RMA Network of top fertility clinics in the United States is currently seeking a Part-time Surgical Center Nurse Manger to join our growing team in Los Angeles, CA. Hours will typically be Monday - Friday 6am - 10am with occasional weekends.

Job Purpose : The Surgical Center Manager assumes authority, responsibility, and accountability for the delivery of services in the facility which provides services including Gynecological, Urological, HSG, and IVF procedures.

Essential Functions / Accountabilities :

• Functions as a working manager and participates and demonstrates flexibility to cover staffing as needed.
• Assists with planning and assuring equipment and supplies based on procedure and physician needs.
• Demonstrates clinical expertise in all procedures and assisting physicians as it relates to specific procedures and patient needs clinically.
• Promotes cost containment while delivering quality patient care.
• Demonstrates flexibility to perform other functions within the Center, Procedure rooms and Operating Rooms to assist in smooth operation of the department, including coverage and lunch breaks.
• Analyzes pertinent data, communicates findings and documents information appropriately, including monthly quality metrics.
• Actively looks at improving patient care and process improvement.
• Contributes to orientation / training of new staff.
• Maintains a safe working environment to include radiation safety, and appropriate personal protection attire.
• Communicates effectively with patients, peers, managers, and subordinates.
• Serves on the Quality Assurance and Infection Control Committees.
• Ensures adequate equipment and supply levels for operations.
• Oversees all staff positions, including receptionists, SPD technicians, nurses and surgical technicians.
• Monitors staff functions throughout the day to ensure all staff are actively completing their assigned tasks with the goal of running an efficient center.
