Job Title : Technical Data & Reliability Manager
Location : Mathews, LA
Position Overview :
A Technical Data & Reliability Manager coordinates and oversees the daily tasks and functions of the Technical Writing and Reliability personnel within the facility. The Technical Data & Reliability Manager is responsible for allocating resources and monitoring job progress to meet contractual requirements and budget targets while providing weekly / monthly status reports to management and cultivating a supportive team environment for all subordinates.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for assisting in the development of proposals related to the various functions mentioned in the Basic Function Section.
- Responsible for managing and leading a team of Analysts & Technical writing team. Will work with the team to cultivate a supportive work environment that will encourage comradery and success.
- Work closely with Group Managers, Supervisors, and Leads in the areas of development, expediting, product distribution, implementation, and submittals.
- Complete knowledge of contract requirements and logistics specifications for the Technical Data and Reliability Deliverables.
- Review requests for quotation, government solicitations, contracts, military specifications, and purchase orders supporting the other department Managers.
- Oversees development of all Technical Writing and Reliability deliverables.
- Performs duties to develop and perform quality reviews of each deliverable prior to submitting to customers.
- Ensure that files are maintained, organized and updated for all contracts and requests, and ensure that deadlines are met for all contracts.
- Constantly communicates with customers, vendors and management.
- Analyze monthly EAC man-hour charging versus progress to adjust schedules and plans accordingly.
- Executes budgets / schedules / metrics pertaining to Technical Writing and Reliability deliverables.
- Provide input on annual departmental budget and monthly progress as it relates to the proposed budget.
- Will be required to travel to attend meetings and discuss current / potential business opportunities with customers
Qualifications :
Five (5) to ten (10) years of Technical Manual and Reliability Management and Five (5) years of related experience preferred.Skills and Abilities :
College degree in business or related field preferred.Advanced knowledge of watercraft vessels and systems / equipment.General understanding of all integrated ILS department processes.Experienced in operations or maintenance of systems in the field.Significant knowledge of and experience with Government contracts, modifications and life-cycle support requirements.Basic knowledge of computer software, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc. and internet applications.Advanced knowledge of Arbor text Editor, Adobe, S1000D, SGML / XML, Content web-based programs and Windchill.Organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and communication skills.Proven ability as a team leader.Bollinger is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing employment opportunities to minorities, females, veterans and disabled individuals, and without regard to sexual orientation and gender identity.
