Description - What You'll Do

  • Conduct both routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests covering a range of areas, including chemistry, hematology, and immunology, all in accordance with established protocols.
  • Evaluate test results for precision, troubleshoot issues, and ensure lab instruments are maintained and calibrated effectively.
  • Assist with specimen collection and properly prepare samples for future testing as needed.
  • Thoroughly document all lab procedures, contribute to the training of new staff members, and help maintain the highest quality standards in the lab.
  • Ensure a clean, safe workspace while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Education

  • A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a relevant allied health degree combined with preparation for ASCP / AMT certification.
  • Certifications

  • ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be achieved within the first year of employment.
  • Active certification must be maintained while employed.
