Job Title : Machinist
Position Summary :
The Machinist is responsible for fabricating and repairing precision aerospace component parts using a variety of machining and manufacturing methods. The incumbent operates CNC, Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL), milling machines, lathes, and other related equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet engineering specifications and production schedules. This position requires strong attention to detail, technical skill, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines, VTLs, mills, and lathes to produce precision aerospace components.
- Perform machining operations to tight tolerances in accordance with blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Inspect parts to ensure quality standards and dimensional accuracy are met.
- Fabricate, repair, or modify parts as required using appropriate tools and machining techniques.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Work on various assignments as directed by leadership and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Accurately document production activities, part measurements, and maintenance records.
Qualifications :
Education / Training : Technical training or certification in machining (college, trade school, or program) required.Experience :Minimum 2–3 years' experience  operating machining equipment such as CNC, VTL, milling, or lathes (required).
Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment (preferred).Skills and Abilities :Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
Skilled with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and manufacturing equipment.Strong time management and attention to detail.Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and prioritize tasks effectively.Reliable attendance and punctuality.
