About The Position

Job Description

Seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist for a locum assignment in Cumberland, MD. Provider must be able to supervise CRNAs.

Shift Details :

Monday through Friday

8, 10, or 12-hour shifts

No weekends, no call

Case Types : OB

Orthopedics

General Surgery

Urology

GYN

Cardiac (optional)

Thoracic

Vascular

Supervision Ratio : 1 : 3 or 1 : 4

Cardiac Cases : Performed independently

Operating Rooms : 10 locations daily, up to 20 rooms

Charting System : EMR (Meditech & Centricity)

Privileges : Estimated 2–4 weeks

Responsibilities

Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department

Medical management of patients undergoing surgery or other procedures

Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments

Obtain and verify patient consent

Discuss anesthetic options and risks

Administer induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia

Monitor patient’s physiological condition

Perform clinical interventions as needed

Requirements

M.D. / D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine

ECFMG and FLEX certification
