Lead Corrosion Control Technician (Night Shift)

The corrosion control technician is responsible for the production tools and applications of various coating systems for asset protection. This technician will comply with quality corrosion expectations, identifying / removing / treating corrosion in preparing components for painting. This fast-paced environment requires the ability to perform painting and adhere to a tight schedule.

Responsibilities :

• Inspect work for quality assurance daily, and order material for scheduled work
• Prepare, prime, sand, seal, and patch all types of painting materials such as : enamel, latex, organic zinc, two-part epoxy, two-part urethane water-proofing, and heat-resistant finishes
• Operate abrasive sand blast pots
• Utilize three types of blast profiles, such as white, commercial, and brush
• Operate, clean, and maintain all painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, electrostatic, GE ablative sprayers, and pumps
• Mix industrial and commercial coatings to apply to a wide variety of surfaces
• Erect scaffolding, rigging, and ladders consistent with safety codes
