Position Overview

The Capital Planning and Analytics team is seeking a confident, self-motivated, and analytical senior with strong financial analytical skills, project management, and communication skills.

The Capital Planning and Analytics Senior will be responsible for supporting the team in creating and analyzing capital related processes and results to communicate complex patterns to executives and business users. The role will partner extensively with colleagues across Finance, Business Functions, Risk, Regulatory Affairs as well as other functions and lines of businesses. Key duties include capital planning and forecasting, capital analytics, capital reporting automation, capital optimization and preparation of Freddie Mac's yearly Capital Plan deliverable to FHFA, etc.

This role will report into the Capital Planning and Analytics Sr Manager.

Our Impact

The Capital Planning and Analytics division is responsible for the planning, forecasting, and optimization of capital. The team focuses on the oversight of all capital management, capital planning and elements related to risk appetite and capital contingency, as well as strategic and policy initiatives. The team's activities are focused on both business-as-usual and stress environments and ties closely with other areas within the Finance function including Financial Planning and Analysis and Stress Testing. Our team :

• Oversees the capital forecasting process
• Prepares Annual Capital Plan submission to FHFA
• Collaborates with the divisional finance and business areas as well as division risk officers (DROs) in the implementation of the recently enacted Enterprise Capital Rule and coordinates associated regulatory submissions, in particular the yearly Capital Plan.
• Drives the optimization of capital in partnership with other areas within Finance and the business areas to improve the systems and processes currently used to perform these activities.
• Develops the strategies and tools to accurately measure and optimize capital capacity and ratios and related measures.

The Capital Planning Team reports to the VP of Capital Planning & Mgmt Reporting and this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a results-driven team that will implement Freddie Mac's Capital Planning and Management Strategy.
