Journeyman Electrician Position In Cheyenne, WY
Responsible for the electrical systems in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This is a minimum Journeyman level electrician position, also requiring maintenance of the facility. The employee must be willing to learn and assist with all aspects of facility maintenance, ranging from simple to complex maintenance tasks in the area of expertise. This position would participate in covering various shifts as assigned and also participating in an on-call rotation for one week durations per on-call instance. Maintenance duties include :
- Maintaining low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems
- Standby generators
- Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS)
- Variable frequency drives
- Low and medium voltage transformers
- Low and medium voltage switchgear
- Electrical distribution throughout the facility
- Line and low voltage control systems
- Monitoring and maintaining all building control and monitoring systems
- Maintaining facility fire alarm systems
- Observing all safety requirements
- Maintaining and altering the networking infrastructure systems including Copper Ethernet, Fiber Optic, and two wire networks used for communication transfer
- Participating in shift rotation of plant operations
- Performing shift work in response to on-call policy and as scheduled for maintenance shutdowns
- Assisting other disciplines as needed
Additional skills and qualifications :
High school diploma or GEDAt least three years of commercial or industrial experience as a Journeyman ElectricianValid Wyoming State Journeyman Electrician's LicenseJob type and location : This is a contract position based out of Cheyenne, WY. Pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
