Med / Surg RN Job Details – Kansas Nursing Jobs

Location : Great Bend, KS 67530

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract

Healthcare Setting : Medical / Surgical Unit

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (18 : 45-07 : 15)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Rotation : 2 weekends per month

On-call : 1 shift per month

Holiday Rotation : Required

Floating : May float within scope

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780 - $1910

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Kansas RN license or Compact Nursing License

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Minimum 1 year of recent hospital Medical / Surgical RN experience

Experience with IV medication drips (Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, Cardizem) preferred

Compliance with nicotine-free facility policies

Ability to work holiday and weekend rotations

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Medical / Surgical unit

Administer medications and manage IV drips according to hospital protocols

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document patient care and clinical interventions

Float to other hospital units within nursing scope as needed

Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotations as required
