- Responsible for creating an outstanding dining experience for residents and their guests in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, with our established policies and procedures. ????
What You’ll Do :
Attends menu meeting daily and secures the knowledge of items to be served to assist residents and guests in their menu choicesResponsible for creating an outstanding dining experience. Follows proper protocols for order taking, serving, pre-bussing, and dessert presentationResponds appropriately to resident concerns and alerts a supervisor immediatelySanitizes the dining and serving areas and ensures that all place settings are perfectly clean and complete before and after meal serviceMust be in a clean, professional-looking uniform including hair restraint, name tag, and clean slip and oil-resistant shoesInspects all plate presentations for accuracy to order, eye appeal, proper food temperatures, and garnishes before serving to residents and guestsResponsible for safely preparing desserts, fruit, rolls, and other items in accordance with policy and procedure. Ensures all desserts are garnished attractively according to the production sheets. Leftover desserts may be re-utilized, covered, labeled, and datedRotates all products and labels food items with use-by dates. Stocks server areasCompletes pre and post meal server duties along with daily special cleaningCan operate registers accurately for orders, alcohol orders, café orders, and consistently have under two errors a week on the registerDemonstrates good hand washing techniques and correct glove usageHandles all plates, utensils, and beverages in a sanitary manner. Ensuring there are no cracks or chips in service ware. If so, alert supervisor and discardAlerts supervisor of overages or underages of productSets up and serves special functions between service hoursAssists with training new employees according to set standardsAssists in other areas of the department as neededAble to perform all aspects of job duties safelyQualifications You Bring :
High school graduate or GED or 16 years of ageAbility to read, write, speak, interpret simple instructions, and understand EnglishAbility to perform basic math calculationsAbility to organize workloads and meet time deadlinesAbility to lift 25#, stand for long periods on hard surfaces, walk long distances, and able to bend, reach and grasp objects, push carts up to 100#Must be able to follow verbal and written directionsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situationsPreferred : Six months prior or training desirable???? Work Schedule :Part-time : 4 : 30pm - 8 : 30pm with Weekend Availability ????????
