Housekeeper

As a housekeeper, you will be integral to maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our hospital's linen operations. Your day will start with handling dirty linens, loading them onto a truck for cleaning, and unloading clean linens into the storage room. You will stock your linen cart and ensure the hospital floors' storage closets are well supplied. Additionally, you will be responsible for tracking linen inventory and using an iPad for scanning and data entry.

Responsibilities :

• Load and unload linen from the truck and organize them in the storage room.
• Stock linen carts and hospital floor storage closets.
• Track and document the location, amount, and types of linen delivered to each point.
• Use an iPad to scan bins and manage inventory data.
• Distribute linens to designated floors and locations as needed.
• Work independently and think on your feet to solve issues promptly.

Work Environment :

Work hours are from 5 am to 1 : 30 pm, with a rotating schedule that includes weekends. The role is based in the hospital's basement linens department, involving significant physical activity such as pushing, pulling, and walking.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 / hr.
