ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Shift : 12-hour nights, 1900-0730; includes weekends and holidays as scheduled.

\n\nJob Description\n

We are seeking an experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse to join our nursing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MedSurg Stepdown care, capable of managing post-surgical thoracic and medicine patients with critical care needs.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Provide care for 32-stepdown beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 3-4.

    • \n

  • Titrate drips per physician orders and monitor patient rhythm regularly.

    • \n

  • Perform assessments and chart patient rhythms in accordance with established protocols.

    • \n

  • Work collaboratively with a charge nurse and house supervisors.

    • \n

  • Assure the safety and comfort of patients including the use of Bipap and tracheostomy care.

    • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

    • \n

  • Strong MedSurg Stepdown experience is essential.

    • \n

  • Ability to titrate medications such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Nitro, Esmolol, Heparin, and Lasix.
