Job Description
Conduct and validate inventory reconciliations between subledger and general ledger, with an initial emphasis on LATAM regions utilizing JD EdwardsAnalyze and resolve discrepancies in inventory quantities and valuations across plants, storage facilities, and consignment locationsFacilitate GR / IR reconciliation efforts across SAP and JD Edwards, ensuring aged items are addressed and accounting flows are accurateDiagnose and resolve historical inventory and GR / IR issues within JD EdwardsContribute to month-end close activities, including checklist execution and preparation of SOX-compliant documentationSupport integrity reporting and inventory validation initiatives related to profit center reorganizations and other strategic projectsPartner with offshore teams and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely transaction processingPrepare and maintain documentation for internal and external audit requirementsEnhance and manage reporting tools and queries, including Excel, Showcase, and BlacklineIdentify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within routine inventory operationsDeliver ad hoc analyses to inform business decisions and operational strategiesMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline2-4 years of hands-on experience in accounting or inventory operationsSolid understanding of inventory accounting principles and reconciliation methodologiesPreferred experience with SAP S / 4HANA and JD Edwards E1 systemsProficient in Microsoft Excel, with demonstrated ability to manage and analyze large data setsFamiliarity with Blackline or comparable reconciliation and reporting platforms is a plusSkilled in developing and maintaining advanced queries; prior experience preferredBackground in working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is advantageousHighly detail-oriented and deadline-driven, with a strong grasp of accounting and reconciliation practices, particularly in inventory managementStrong conceptual understanding of document flow from goods receipt through accounting and payment resolutionExcellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate across teamsProven success in a fully remote work environment, demonstrating adaptability and self-motivationWhat's on Offer
