AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. The AWS Brick and Network Deployment (BaND) team is searching for a passionate and talented technical program manager to drive Data Center and Network Capacity in AMER. You will assess the demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders to complete pre-requisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity. You will lead programs with goals to improve infrastructure resource utilization and availability. You will work with teams across the AWS Organization to effectively plan and deliver data center capacity.

Key job responsibilities

• Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis to senior leadership. Articulating root-cause analysis, and linking to specific improvement areas.
• Summarize escalation support and critical leadership decisions.
• Mentor newer and less tenured team members.
• Manage multiple competing projects / programs simultaneously.
• Develop, plan and build implementation solutions that allow cross functional project collaboration to unblock programs with infrastructure dependencies.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and gather user requirements with key internal customers.
• Develop standard operating procedures, change / communication plans, and project / program-level status updates.
• Drive adoption with internal customers through effective change management.
• Anticipate potential issues and risks, and escalate appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Remain flexible to changing priorities and open to new ideas.
• Keep the customer experience as the primary focus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,800 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,300 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
