    • Job Summary

    As a Physician, you will independently perform a wide range of clinical services, treating acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections. You will also select and utilize appropriate diagnostics and therapeutic procedures for your patients.

    What We’re Looking ForRequirements and QualificationsEducation

    Graduate of an accredited medical school (required)

    Work Experience

  • 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience (required)
  • Minimum 18 months experience in an applicable practice setting (required)
  • Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly (preferred)

    • Licenses / Certifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
  • Active state medical licensure

    • Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting
  • Proficiency in applicable office procedures, including suturing and splinting

    • Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service abilities

    • Your Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat patients
  • Take comprehensive medical histories
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and X-rays
  • Make diagnoses and prescribe medications
  • Treat minor injuries requiring sutures, splints, or casting
  • Record progress notes for follow-up patients
  • Educate and counsel patients
  • Administer vaccinations and refer patients for additional care
  • Supervise GoHealth PA / NPs remotely when cases are presented
  • Act as a Collaborating Physician for up to four PA / NPs in the credentialing process
  • Work an anticipated eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shift
  • Perform other duties as assigned
