Radar Modeling Engineer

SEG supports the US Navy and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) by performing trade studies, design prototyping, and analysis of radars, EO / IR sensors, seeker systems, electronic warfare systems, and weapon systems. We are seeking an experienced radar systems modeling engineer to support the development and execution of radar and / or RF seeker simulations, add new capabilities to existing simulations, and deliver the simulations to both support internal analysis and as inclusion in deliverable simulations to our government customers and end-users. The engineer will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, demonstrating the capability to customers and stakeholders, and potentially leading a team of engineers and software developers to design and develop these simulation solutions.

The engineer will be expected to prioritize new simulation tool capabilities while maintaining existing ones. The ideal candidate has 10 to 20 years of radar systems engineering experience, including radar system modeling and simulation, design, test, and analysis.

Required Skills :

• The candidate must be a US citizen and have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance
• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
• Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in the design of, or analysis of sensor systems, seekers, electronic warfare systems, or weapon systems.
• Strong people skills and technical leadership experience are a must.
• MATLAB and / or Python proficiency
