Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A high school is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2025 / 2026 school year in Abilene, KS. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a caseload of high school students requiring specialized instructional support. Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the academic and social needs of high school students
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure effective integration and support
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional methods as necessary
• Provide acmodations and modifications in accordance with state and federal special education guidelines
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and pliance activities related to special education services
