About The Position

Job Title : Ultrasound Technologist

Profession : Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer

Specialty : Radiology

Duration : 17 weeks

Shift : Nights

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum of 1 year in Sonography in a hospital setting

License : Registered with relevant certifying bodies

Certifications :

• Registered in General AB, OB, RVT
• Must achieve OB / GYN registry within 6 months of hire
• ARDMS certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

Must-Have :

Description :

Provide diagnostic sonograms for interpretation by a radiologist.

Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with established mission and values.

Focus on delivering excellent patient care while collaborating with staff members and physicians.

Demonstrate the ability to operate ultrasound equipment including mobile and other equipment.

Evaluate images and manipulate equipment as needed.

Assist in lifting, moving, and transporting patients safely.

Maintain effective communication in emergency situations.

Work according to departmental protocols while performing all procedures required.

Prepare and stock rooms for various examinations and ensure cleanliness between patients.

Adapt routine procedures based on patient needs and conditions.

Demonstrate the ability to recognize structures visualized and troubleshoot imaging systems.

Keep documentation current and follow through with any identified challenges.

Participate in departmental orientation and training programs as needed.

Conduct patient history assessments prior to procedures.

Understand and apply safety procedures related to equipment and patient care.

Flexibly adjust personal schedules based on departmental needs and patient load.

Participate in quality improvement programs as required.

Enhance team collaboration to ensure optimal patient care at all times.

Possess the capability to manage complex diagnostic situations effectively.

Exhibit a compassionate and professional demeanor while advocating for patients' needs.
