Nurse Practitioner Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in acute care or neonatologyCurrent Nurse Practitioner (NP) certificationActive Utah APRN license (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse)BLS Certification for Healthcare ProvidersEligible for Utah State Controlled Substance License II-V and Federal DEA Certificate II-VCertification from ANCC or AANP (American Nurses Credentialing Center or American Association of Nurse Practitioners)Additional certifications preferred : ACLS, PALS, NRPMaster's degree or higher in nursing preferredStrong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare teamHealthcare Job Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and obtain clinical histories in a neonatology settingOrder, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and examsDiagnose patient needs and develop individualized care plansProvide and oversee treatment, including prescriptive practices, to achieve optimal patient outcomesPerform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within Nurse Practitioner scope of practiceDocument clinical care accurately and promptlyEducate patients, families, and clinical staff to support the continuum of careTrain and mentor staff and students as appropriateStay current with healthcare practice trends and participate in continuing educationCollaborate and communicate effectively with other healthcare providers in UtahApply now to join our healthcare team in Salt Lake City, Utah and make a difference in neonatal patient care!
