Hematology / Oncology Physician

Locums - Hematology / Oncology Opening in Lafayette, Indiana (IMLC Accepted)

Coverage Details :

Two providers requested

Outpatient clinic schedule : Monday-Friday

36 hours of ambulatory clinic coverage per week

Flexible scheduling between 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM

Hospital Call Coverage :

Call rotation every 4th or 5th week

One full week at a time

Weekday call : new consults only

Weekend call : rounding only

Practice Model :

Primary focus on outpatient care

On-call provider handles new consults at the hospital

Nurse Practitioners round on existing patients

New consults assigned to the on-call provider once evaluated

Patient Mix : 70% Oncology

30% Hematology (primarily benign cases)

Clinic patients per shift : 15-18

5-6 phone consults per week

2-3 patients seen during call

Assigned / Unassigned patients

30-minute call response time required

Facility Details : Trauma Level III

Hospital Stroke Certified

EMR : Cerner

Requirements :

Board Certified / Board Eligible - Required

Fellowship - Required

Active Indiana license or IMLC - Accepted

BLS - Required
