Description
Position Summary :
The Maintenance Technician performs interior and exterior property maintenance functions, including upkeep of building exterior and parking areas, cleaning and maintenance for interior of building. The Maintenance Technician arranges for room set up for larger meetings or conferences, if needed. This position is responsible for coordinating vehicle maintenance and repair with identified resources.
Responsibilities :
Perform general maintenance of interior of the building facility
- Move heavy furniture, equipment, supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance
- Paint or report issues of roof, windows, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures as indicated
Exterior property maintenance
Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery using mowers, hand and power trimmers, and clear debris from groundsRemove snow from sidewalks using snow shovels and spread snow melting chemicalsMaintain building interior and exterior lighting by replacing bulbs or fixtures as indicatedCoordination of maintenance with program managers to minimize disruption of service delivery
Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently and / or the physical condition of buildings donot deteriorateNotify managers of any supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance dutiesSet up, arrange and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetingsSpray insecticides and fumigates to prevent insect and rodent infestationCoordinate / Facilitate routine maintenance of company automobiles with dealerships or other parties identified for vehicle maintenance or repair
Obtain estimates and submit for approval prior to completionOrder parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers or obtain them from storerooms as indicated
Obtain prior approval for supply and equipment ordersMaintain documentation of routine maintenance, repairs needed and repairs completedPerform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements :
This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring low physical exertions, talking and hearing and adequate vision on a regular basis to perform job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 90% of the time.

Work Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm
Wage Range : $20.00-$24.00 per hour, depending on experience
