The Program Specialist will play a key role in supporting the design, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our programs for adults with autism. Working closely with program staff and community partners, this individual will ensure high‐quality delivery of services, track outcomes, and help expand the effectiveness and reach of our supporters
The Program Specialist is responsible for the following :
- Reports directly to management and collaborates with the Behavioral Specialist and oversees direct support staff.
- Monitors and evaluates Direct Support Professionals and supervisory personnel in the implementation of services according to the ISP and provides training when necessary.
- Coordinates services and completes assessments for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities
- Ensures that services are provided in accordance to the ISP and attends ISP meetings.
- Assists in the development, revision, and annual update of the ISP; and ISP review and revision for content accuracy
- Participates in the Rights Team and assists in the development and evaluation of Restrictive Procedure Plans for consumers with challenging behaviors.
- Participates in the on-call supervisor rotation.
- Attends staff meetings and other meetings as required.
- Reviews progress notes and incident reports and evaluates the progress toward outcomes documented on the ISP.
- Reports changes related to the individual s needs to management, Behavioral Specialist (if applicable), and the Support Coordinator.
- Trains Direct Support Professionals and supervisory staff in the content of health and safety needs relevant to each individual as documented on their ISP.
- Ensures that progress notes are written for all service deliveries.
- Assesses and councils consumers in the management of their finances (if necessary).
- Reviews grievances, meets with the grievant and ensures the implementation of remedial actions.
- Participates in the Quality Management team.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements :
Bachelors degree or higher in the following related fields : Business, Psychology, Sociology, etc.At least 3 or more years of experience in program coordination, evaluation, or support in a residential setting that operates 24 / 7 / 365 (preference for experience with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities and mental health related conditions).Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with HCSIS preferred.Strong data‐analysis skills : able to collect, interpret, and report on program performance and outcomes.Desired Qualifications :
