Responsibilities Work in a Level 1 trauma Intensive Care Unit within an acute care hospital Unit consists of 39 ICU beds divided across three locations Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2, with some 1 : 1 for high acuity cases and up to 1 : 3 for overflow or patient transfers Rotating 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required Must be willing to float to med / surg or step-down units as needed based on skill set Expected to provide coverage for 2 out of 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Uses Epic EMR General nursing orientation provided, including computer-based training, competency test outs, EMR training, and preceptor shifts as needed All staff must badge in and out for each shift Returning travelers from Sanford Health must have an end date at least 6 months prior to consideration Candidates residing within 80 miles may be eligible with an adjusted local rate Must be available and flexible to accommodate scheduling needs, including rotating shifts and holidays Requirements Active SD or compact RN license Current ACLS and BLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required Experience using Epic EMR preferred Ability to float between units as assigned Must be able to wear navy blue scrubs Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-630370.
